Maja Göpel and Eva von Redecker will compare and contrast their ideas for necessary change – change based on regeneration rather than on the exhaustion of resources, natural cultures and people.

“Burning Futures” brings political economist, expert on sustainability policy and transformation research and Scientists for Future co-founder Maja Göpel into conversation with revolutionary philosopher and feminist Eva von Redecker. Both have recently been raising their voices to push for profound change within the context of capitalism, growth logic, sustainability and authoritarianism. Alongside their criticism of the role of property and its distribution, they've been developing visions of the future – whether through political-economic transformation, as in Göpel's case, or through the power of a sharing community seen in recent protest movements, as in von Redecker's. In this discussion, they'll compare and contrast their ideas for necessary change – change based on regeneration rather than on the exhaustion of resources, natural cultures and people.
